CITESTE INTERVIU CU MENTORUL - AICI SI AICI My name is Simona Baciu, but most people call me Miss Simona and I will tell you why. It all started back in 1993 when my husband and I founded a small kindergarten in one of the rooms of our two bedroom apartment in Cluj, Romania. It was an act of courage and passion for educating children in a nurturing and open environment. That humble kindergarten became a role model in Romania as it developed into a child-centered school. Transylvania College is proof that a school can be the place where both students and teachers feel loved and valued while benefitting from innovative programs in the arts, robotics, business, and finance. Our leadership, community service and work experience programs prepare students to become mindful leaders. We offer parenting courses to encourage family engagement and we train and coach teachers from all over Romania. However, this is still considered a revolutionary practice in our country and we would like to help other schools build strong foundations for the generations to come. Transylvania College is a non-profit independent school that offers a full educational track, from nursery to high school, with two lines of study: a Romanian one and an international one, following the England and Wales curriculum. Accredited with maximum scores by the Romanian Ministry of Education (ARACIP), the school is a Cambridge International Examination Centre and is also accredited by the UK Department of Education, among the only 3% of international schools worldwide. The campus offers a unique multicultural learning environment, home to over 630 students and 100 teachers, as our community represents 25 nations from 6 continents. Our graduates are pursuing careers in Molecular Science, Law, Aviation, Business and Psychology, having recently secured places at the renowned Romanian and international universities of their choice
